About Raida Hicks
What started as a simple idea—to help others on their journey toward a fulfilled and meaningful life—has grown into a deeply rooted mission. As the founder of The Way Coaching and Spiritual Direction, I specialize in guiding Catholic women by combining evidence-based coaching techniques with the rich traditions of Catholic spirituality, including Ignatian spiritual exercises and Carmelite practices.
For the past nine years, I have dedicated myself to exploring the intersection of coaching psychology and spiritual direction. My professional training includes a Postgraduate Certificate in Coaching Psychology from the University of Sydney, Australia, along with spiritual direction certifications from the Avila Institute and Heart of Christ in the United States.
Previously, I spent over 20 years as a Professional Learning and Development Director. I designed and led high-impact leadership programs for senior executives across various sectors, including Government, Financial Services, Biotech, and Energy. My work has taken me to the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and South Africa, where I successfully developed over 200 programs and worked with more than 1,000 leaders to address complex organizational and technological challenges.
My academic foundation includes a Master’s in Marketing and Organizational Development from UNSW, a Master of Arts from Macquarie University, and certifications in Coaching Psychology, Spiritual Direction from the Avila Institute and Heart of Christ, USA, and Instructional Design.
